          The Wilderness or Backpack Altar

          "And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray:

             and he passed the whole night in the prayer of God."    Luke 6:12

 

             And having dismissed the multitude, he went into a mountain alone to pray.

             And when i was evening, he was there alone.    Matthew 14:23

           This model was designed for a priest who wanted an altar for his backpacking trips into the wilderness... 

              So I searched the world over to find a noble wood that was strong enough, yet met the light-weight

              requirements. What I found was this "Spanish Cedar."  Weighs in at about 17 pounds.  4"x 18"x 13" closed,

               and a full 36"x 12" mensa when fully opened!!!
